The Western New York Flash dropped from first to fourth place as it fell at home to the Portland Thorns, 2-0, and the three teams behind it all won. The Chicago Red Stars moved into first place with a
3-0 win over the last-place Boston Breakers, getting two goals from Sofia Huerta.
The Thorns received second-half goals from Christine Sinclair and Nadia Nadim as
they extended their unbeaten streak to nine games, including six games on the road. French midfielder Amandine Henry made her Thorns debut in the win.
