TV Report: Euro 2016 final sets viewing record

The Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France averaged 5,899,000 viewers combined for the game window on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, setting a record for the most-watched European Championship match on the ESPN networks.

The Portugal-France game window averaged 4,538,000 viewers, down from 4,567,000 viewers for the Spain-Italy final four years ago. An average audience of 1,361,000 viewers watched Portugal-France on ESPN Deportes, up 14 percent from 1,191,000 viewers for the Euro 2012 final, making it the most-watched program ever on ESPN Deportes.

On WatchESPN, the 2016 final had an average minute audience of 237,000, making it the most-watched Euro match ever on the streaming network.
