Atlanta United FC, which will begin play in MLS in 2017, signed a multi-year partnership with American Family Insurance for the Madison, Wisconsin-based company to be its jersey sponsor.
“Today’s announcement marks another major defining moment for our club,” said Atlanta United president
Darren Eales in a statement. “It’s a partnership that works
on many levels, including similar organizational values and a strong commitment to community. We look forward to introducing the American Family Insurance brand to MLS and global soccer
audiences.”
Atlanta United will unveil its uniform and training apparel, featuring the American Family Insurance logo, later this year. It will also sponsor a tryout tour through
the Southeast, beginning on July 23.
American Family Insurance also sponsors four NFL teams. Its ambassadors include
Derek Jeter,
J.J. Watt and
Kevin Durant.
