Crystal Palace claimed a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Jordan Mutch and Wilfred Zaha. The
international friendly was the first ever for FC Cincinnati, and the first of its kind at Nippert Stadium.
The previous Ohio record was a crowd of 31,550 in 1996
for a Columbus Crew match at Ohio Stadium. The Ohio record should be again broken on July 27 when Real Madrid plays Paris St. Germain at Ohio Stadium, home of Ohio State football.
The
largest crowd of the weekend in MLS was 25,667 for the LA Galaxy-Houston match at StubHub Center.
