NASL Rewind: Omar Bravo scores on debut

Former Mexican World Cup striker Omar Bravo scored in his debut for the Carolina RailHawks in a 3-3 tie with Miami FC while Puerto Rico FC, which joined the NASL this Fall Season, won its first game, a 1-0 win over Rayo OKC thanks Puerto Rico national team striker Hector Ramos’ fourth goal in five games.

“It’s something beautiful to win at home and we know the fans wanted to see that,” said Ramos.

Spring champ Indy Eleven, whose 13-game undefeated streak ended last week, bounced back with a 1-0 win over Edmonton and moved into first place thanks to the New York Cosmos 2-2 tie at Tampa Bay, which equalized on a stoppage-time penalty kick by Joe Cole.

Christian Ramirez scored his 11th goal of 2016 in Minnesota’s 3-1 win over Ft. Lauderdale, the Fall Season’s only winless team.
