Juventus has signed Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for 90 million euros ($98.89 million), the third highest transfer fee ever paid after after GarethBale (Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur for 100 million euros in 2013) and Cristiano Ronaldo  (Real Madrid from Manchester United for 94 million euros in 2009).

Juventus triggered the release clause for the 28-year-old, who still had two years to on his contract. Higuain scored a record 36 Serie A goals in 35 games for Napoli last season as it finishedrunner-up tp Juventus, which won a fifth consecutive title.
