MLS Expansion: Atlanta's Villalba and Jones off on loan

MLS expansion team Atlanta United FC has sent its two big signings on loan until it opens training camp in January for its first season. Kenwyne Jones is headed home to Trinidad & Tobago to play for Central FC. Mexican club Tijuana announced it signed Argentine Hector Villalba for the Torneo Apertura.

Jones, the 31-year-old Trinidad & Tobago captain, will debut for Central FC on Tuesday when the Sharks play the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

Villalba, who turned 22 on Tuesday, joins Tijuana three games into the Torneo Apertura. Xolos, which finished 14th in the Torneo Clausura, has opened the Torneo Apertura with a win and loss.
