TV Report: Viewers for USWNT opener up 107 percent

NBCSN averaged 1.3 million viewers for the U.S. women’s national team’s 2-0 victory over New Zealand in their Rio Olympics opener, more than double the viewership for the USA-France opener at the 2012 London Olympics (629,000 viewers).

That represents a 107 percent in viewership; Wednesday's game averaged a .77 rating on NBCSN -- up 93 percent from the 2012 opener.

Viewers on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app streamed 10.5 million live minutes of Olympics coverage on Wednesday (featuring six women’s soccer matches), up 84 percent from the corresponding day at the 2012 London Olympics.

    NBCSN isn't in my basic cable lineup, USA channel is. For TV, which is found in most homes?
