U.S. Abroad: Zendejas makes Chivas debut in Liga MX

Zendejas, who represented the USA at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup, won't play for USA while he is at Chivas, which has a policy of only employing Mexican citizens.

Also: Rubio Rubin, who was limited to two starts in 2015-16 because of injuries, started for FC Utrecht in its 2-1 loss to PSV in their Dutch Eredivisie opener.

Goal alert: Andrew Stadler scored his third goal of the season for Ostersunds in a 4-0 win over GIF Sundsvall. Osterunds is eighth in the 16-team Allsvenkan.
