Dick Advocaat quit as assistant to Netherlands national team coach
Danny Blind on Monday, just three months after taking the role, to become the new head coach of Turkish giant
Fenerbahce. He replaces
Vitor Pereira after Fenerbahce said the Portuguese coach had violated the terms of his contract.
Advocaat, who played in the old NASL, has coached PSV
Eindhoven, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Glasgow Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg as well as the national teams of the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Belgium, Russia and Serbia.
