U.S. U-15 girls reach Concacaf Championship semis

The U.S. U-15 girls national team, coached by Mark Carr, beat Bermuda, 12-0, at 2016 Concacaf U-15 Girls Championships to book a Aug. 19 semifinal against the Costa Rica-Saint Lucia quarterfinal winner.

The USA, which opened with a 22-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago in the Orlando, Florida-hosted tournament, has outscored its five opponents 42-0.

Payton Linnehan (FC Stars of Mass) and Mia Fishel (San Diego Surf) scored hat tricks in the quarterfinal win over Bermuda.

Twenty-two Concacaf teams and South America’s Venezuela comprise the 2016 Concacaf U-15 Girls Championship field.

    22-0, 12-0? Seems like a waste of time for some of these teams to make this tournament.
