NWSL: Washington Spirit takes over lead

Ali Krieger became the first U.S. Olympian who returned to action in the NWSL, captaining the Washington Spirit to a 2-1 win at the Houston Dash in their makeup game. Christine Nairn scored both goals for the Spirit, the first on a penalty kick and the second on a shot from 40 yards.
