Trivia: Name only Power 5 team without women's soccer?

Kansas State played it first women's soccer match on Friday night when it fell at Saint Louis, 3-1. Two days later, the Wildcats tied SIUE, 0-0. K-State's entire schedule will consist of non-conference games and all but four will be played on the road.

Mike Dibbini, who rebuilt Cal Poly Pomona into an NCAA Division II contender, is Kansas State's first women's coach.

“It felt great to get out there and try to problem solve, learn, adapt and adjust as the game went along,” said Dibbini on the first night. “We had some positives today. We had some good shots on goal and we created some good chances. We didn’t execute some of them. If you look at the whole story of the game, we dug ourselves a hole at the start of the game. We came out slow and a little jittery. If you look at the second half, it was a 1-1 tie. That is a positive. The result wasn’t there, but we learned a lot today.”

 Freshman forward Katie Cramer scored for K-State against SLU, ending a string of three straight corner kicks, with the program's first goal.

The launch of Kansas State's women's program leaves the ACC's Georgia Tech as the only school in Power 5 conferences that doesn't have a varsity women's program.

Just 29 of the 65 Power 5 schools have men's programs.

    So much unreal soccer right in their backyard, would be great for the soccer community
