What They're Saying: Jurgen Klinsmann

"If you tell the German national team coach to pull a kid from the second division that isn't even on the bench, they would call you crazy. But our pool of players is just completely different to any team in Europe or South America. We don't have the luxury just to pick the players from Champions League teams."

-- U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann on working with Bobby Wood, then struggling at 1860 Munich. Klinsmann regrets the lack of young prospects pushing the national team incumbents. (ESPN FC)

Here we go again! Coach, I guess you won't know if you don't play the successors. Aside, from Deuce who has an uncanny ability to score, are you referring to JJ, MB, KB, BG, TH,Jozy, Zuzi, MO? The Keepers can play longer generally, but I'm not so sure Horvath isn't already superior to both. The incumbent field players already have younger better players, IMO, waiting in the wings. There have never been more young talented players getting after it in Europe, Mexico and even the MLS. If, if, coach you don't see these incumbents competing in Russia, why are they getting so many call ups and minutes? You need to poop or get off the pot.
