What They're Saying: Jurgen Klinsmann

“As we said over the last months, one step at a time, but the step was right today. The performance was wonderful to watch. Don’t want to give him too many compliments — gotta keep him down on the ground.”

Obligatory: Grounded to the ground? Say what you will about JK, but we are on the verge of establishing two different modes of play, which was a goal when JK started this whole endeavor (ie Plan B). With JA, we play with a target man up top, but he needs to be healthy (see 2014 hammy, why you don't put all your eggs in one basket). The next step is to get Nagby involved, to give our attacking half a different dimension. You can't win a world cup playing every team the same way, and Nagby could be that development if he gets some major minutes in the Hex. Let's see if JK is a step ahead for 2018 or a step behind.
