Carli Lloyd scored one goal and set up another as the USA rallied from a 1-0 deficit after the second minute to beat the Netherlands, 3-1, on Sunday night in front of 15,652 fans at Atlanta's
Georgia Dome. The win improved the USA's record to 18-0-3 in 2016.
The Dutch went in front on Shanice van de Sanden's goal and led until the 35th minute when Lloyd took off a ball
Tobin Heath cut back and scored to the near post for her 15th goal of the year -- tied with Alex Morgan for the most goals in 2016 -- and the 94th of her international career.
The USA went ahead in the 55th minute on an own goal from Mandy van den Berg and Lloyd set up Allie Long for the insurance goal on a header in the 77th minute.
The USA is
off until the next FIFA women's fixture window opens. It plays Switzerland in a friendly at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah on Oct. 19 and faces the Swiss in a second meeting four days later at U.S.
Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The NWSL season ends on Oct. 9 with the final in Houston.
