FIFA handed Chile a one-match stadium ban from using its national stadium in Santiago after fans were found guilty of homophobic chanting. Five other countries -- Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru
and Brazil -- were fined after their fans were found guilty of the same offense.
It's the second time Chile will have had to play outside Santiago. La Roja was handed a two-match ban with
one suspended for the same offense. It will now have to find a new venue for its qualifier against Venezuela next March.
Canada was one of five other countries fined for "incidents
involving discriminatory and unsporting conduct by fans." The others were Italy, Argentina, Paraguay and Albania.
