Glasgow Rangers' Barton charged with betting on games

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has added to his long list of offenses by being charged with placing 44 bets on soccer games this year. Scottish Football Association (SFA) rules prevent players, coaches, club officials and referees in Scotland from betting on soccer anywhere in the world. The Englishman is currently serving a three-week suspension from his club following a training-ground dispute with teammate Andy Halliday.
