Survey: Coaching Compensation in the USA

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Soccer America have partnered on a research project on compensation for coaches across various levels of the U.S. game, beginning with a 5-minute online surveyfor NSCAA members.

The survey will gather information on coaching and coaching-related activities. The results will help better equip coaches to negotiate salaries and benefits packages. Results of the research will be published on SoccerAmerica.com and the NSCAA’s Soccer Journal.

    Develop a decent left outside back for the USMNT first and then better "negotiate salary and benefit packages" later.

    You do realize that this survey is being led by our administrative body, not the actual national coaching staff, right?

    This is good. Then we can talk about why coaches make so much and develop mediocre players.

    I think the reality is your average US coach doesn't make that much, but also isn't very good. And when you measure value in a coach everyone wants to go back to License level, which has almost nothing to do with how good you are as a coach. The bad coaches always measure themselves by how many titles they win. The good coaches measure themselves by how many pros they help develop, and how many kids they taught to properly play the game (high soccer IQ).
