Hex Files: Boniek Garcia called up by Honduras

At least one Dynamo will be active during the MLS playoffs.

Midfielder Oscar Boniek Garcia has been selected by Honduras for a training camp that will precede the start of Hexagonal play Nov. 11.

The camp organized by Colombian coach Jorge Luis Pinto starts Sunday in San Pedro Sula and will feature a closed-door match against Belize. Honduras hosts Panama in the Hexagonal opener and plays at Trinidad & Tobago four days later.

Garcia has played all six games during the Catrachos' current World Cup qualifying campaign. His 112 caps include three appearances at the 2014 World Cup. He has scored three goals for Honduras.

Garcia, 32, has played for Houston since 2012. This season he recorded career highs for appearances (31) and assists (9). In his MLS career, he’s played 120 games, scored 12 goals, and recorded 27 assists.
