In his first game since regaining the No. 1 spot in goal for the USA, Tim Howard
was injured, putting him out of Tuesday's World Cup 2018 qualifier at Costa Rica and in all likelihood the MLS

Howard suffered an injury to his right adductor while taking a
goal kick in the first half of the the 2-1 loss to Mexico in Columbus and left the match a few minutes later. Brad Guzan
replaced him, playing his first match in more than two months.
Howard returned to Colorado for further evaluation and to determine treatment plans, according to U.S. Soccer, and did not accompany the USA to Costa Rica, where it arrived on Sunday.
