Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez
, who missed Chile's 0-0 draw against Colombia after picking up a hamstring injury in training, has been declared fit to play in the key World Cup 2018 qualifier on
Tuesday against Uruguay. But Arsenal officials are worried that he could aggravate the injury.
Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi
said Sanchez was fit to play after doing a full
workout on Sunday. "My stance is that I will never use a player who is not fit or capable of playing," Pizzi said.
Chile is fifth with 17 points in the 10-team South America qualifying
competition. The top four teams qualify directly for the World Cup, while the fifth-place team advance to a playoff.
