Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
isn't ready to jump into the January transfer market for help in the wake of Brazilian Philippe Coutinho
’s ankle injury that will sideline him for up
to six weeks.
With Sadio Mane
off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal in January and Danny Ings out for the season with a knee injury, the Reds could use some attacking help.
But Klopp maintains that he will only add to his squad if the signing is right.
"In all this time," said Klopp, "we do different things and a few of these things is to watch the market,
watch what’s happening around, scouting, to look at promising players from leagues you cannot watch too often. That’s what we do all the time. That doesn’t mean we can take one, but
it’s only to be informed – to know about development, strength, whatever and that’s what we do."
