Missouri Governor-elect Eric Greitens‘ statement of opposition to publicfunding of a $200 million soccer stadium threw a boulder into the path of MLS’s move into St. Louis. On Tuesday, SC STL, which is backing efforts for an MLS expansion team, withdrew a proposal inwhich it sought $40 million in tax credits from the Missouri Development Finance Board, which met on Tuesday.
