Liverpool thumps Stoke, trails Chelsea by six points

Liverpool is in second place, six points behind EPL leader Chelsea and one point ahead of third-place Manchester City, after a 4-1 win over Stoke that keeps Liverpool unbeaten at home this season. Liverpool, which faces Man City on New Year's Day, responded to Jon Walters' 12th minute goal with strikes by Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge, in addition to a Giannelli Imbula own goal.
