Guardiola: Gap is too great to catch Chelsea

Manchester City moved into second place in the English Premier League with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth on Monday, but City manager Pep Guardiola said the eight-point gap is too great.

"The gap is too big," he told Sky Sports. "Yesterday [Chelsea] didn't win [in a 1-1 draw with Burnley] but they play so solid, it's so difficult to create chances [against them]."

City won on goals from Raheem Sterling and another that was credited to Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings, although Sergio Aguero was still claiming it.
