U.S. Soccer introduces new red national team uniform

U.S. Soccer unveiled a new Nike national team uniform that both the men's and women's national teams will wear in March.

The red jerseys will be worn by the women at the SheBelieves Cup March 1-7 while the men will wear them for the key World Cup 2018 qualifier March 24 against Honduras.

The new jersey features several patriotic flares throughout the material, including "1 Nation" and "1 Team" on the inside cuffs of the sleeve, in addition to "USA" displayed on the neckline.

The new shorts are red with black elastic side tape and the socks are red with a touch of orange on the calf.

Not a fan of all red, though these shirts would look sharp if they were set off by navy shorts and/or socks. They said red uniforms help teams win more...

Don't like 'em! There should be some blue somewhere on the uniform... Nike seems to be changing our nation's colors!?! And the company knows very well what it's doing... Look more like Russian uniforms!

I like them ! Nice for a change ! I wouldn't be concerned unless the red, white or blue or all three colors were deleted.

As long as they win... Italy "The
AZURI" have won a lot of games over the years and blue is nowhere in the Italian flag. I don't think anyone will confuse the USA with any other country.

Italy wear blue because it was the color of the House of Savoy, the Italian royal family at the time of unification.

The shoulder color is ugly. Nike uniforms generally suck.

Back to adidas, please. Shoulda left Nike behind long ago. Time to look professional again. Just not 1994 'professional.'

No matter what the color is...the squad has a long road ahead.

The red top and red bottom doesn't work for me. I might like just a jersey with a blue short, as Kent mentions above.
