"It is an honor to represent the USA and all that we stand for -- to be able to pull on the red, white and blue to play a game that I love. I will respect the new bylaw the leadership at USSF has put
forward. That said, I believe we should always value the use of our voice and platform to fight for equality of every kind."
-- Megan Rapinoe
in response to the new U.S. Soccer
policy requiring that players must "stand respectfully" during the playing of the national anthem, a policy approved in response to Rapinoe's decision to kneel before two matches in September 2016 in
support of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick
The difference between Megan and Colin is Megan can really play her game. Unlike Colin who can't play his.
Life has been terrible for Colin his adopted parents were terrible to him evidently.
Plus she is a real leader on her team. She can do whatever she wants as far as I am concerned.
I hope no one from SA deletes this post :)
