What They're Saying: Gianni Infantino

"The requirements will be clear. And then each country can make up their decision, whether they want to bid or not based on the requirements. Nothing to do with the U.S. or not, it's general sporting criterion. Mr. Trump is the president of the United States of America and as such of course [I have] huge respect for what he does. He's in charge, together with his government, to take the decisions that are best for his country. That's why he has been elected."

Trump is not thinking about our football. The first job of the President in our constitution is to keep our country safe.

Yeah and it certainly seems like he needs to spend more time on that topic doesn't it? And less time floating crazy conspiracy theories.

I knew a Gianni his last name was Russo. He was in The Godfather. He lives in Vegas was a night club singer. He made it with Marylyn Monroe when he was 16 years old. He went on a cruise with Bill Clinton years ago. Russo got a lot of women but on that cruise he had to settle for clintons leavings.

So the folks at FIFA might have a problem with a freely elected president's immigration policies, but they don't have a problem letting the World Cup be held in countries where (1) political opponents are assassinated by their dictator "president" (Putin/Russia), and (2) a monarchy uses indentured servitude to build its stadiums (Qatar). FIFA hypocrisy has not changed one bit.
