By the Numbers: Worst starts by expansion teams

Minnesota United isn't the only expansion to lose its first two games. Five expansion teams lost their first two games and three others were winless after two games, but no team has lost as badly as the Loons did in their first two games, dropping 5-1 and 6-1 decisions.

The only two teams who made the playoffs in their first seasons -- Chicago and Seattle -- also happen to be the only expansion teams who began with two wins.
