Longtime Uruguayan coach Anibal Ruiz
, who worked at 23 clubs (several more than once) in a career that spanned more than 40 years, died of a heart attack on Friday. He was an assistant coach
for Mexican club Puebla, which was scheduled to play at Veracruz. The 74-year-old Ruiz collapsed on the field moments after the game was called off because of the Mexican referee strike. He died on
the way to the hospital.
