TV Report: USL returns on ESPN platforms

The USL will have two regular-season games -- Tampa Bay-FC Cincinnati on July 6 and San Antonio FC-OKC Energy FC on July 14 -- as well as the USL Cup in November on ESPNU. A slate of Games of the Week on the streaming network ESPN3 begins next Tuesday with OKC Energy FC-Sacramento Republic FC game.

The is the second year of the USL-ESPN agreement. All games will be produced by USL Productions, the league’s $10 million investment in broadcast production, broadcast and distribution facilities with VISTA Worldlink. All other 2017 USL matches are again available for viewing via the USL Match Center.

“ESPN’s continued support of the USL has been phenomenal,” said USL executive vice president and chief revenue officer Tom Veit, who has led the USL Productions initiative. “We are delighted to expand our relationship with them for 2017, and bring some of the league’s best games in the regular season to television.”

The USL also announced a new agreement with SiriusXM, which will air a live USL Game of the Week. The USL will also have a weekly one-hour show -- USL Coast to Coast hosted by Michael Watts -- that will debut Monday and air every Monday night at 9:00 pm ET.
