MLS: Moor sidelined by irregular heartbeat

Toronto FC defender Drew Moor did not travel with the team for its game with weekend match against Columbus because of an irregular heartbeat.

In its entirety, the statement reads:

“During a medical examination following a training session this week, a cardiac arrhythmia was discovered in defender Drew Moor. Further testing is necessary to determine diagnosis and management, which will take place next week. As precaution, Moor will not travel to Columbus for this weekend’s match against Columbus Crew SC.”

Moor, 33, is arguably the most successful signing from the first MLS free agent class in 2015. He is a veteran of 13 MLS seasons, during which he’s played 341 games (328 starts) for FC Dallas, Colorado and Toronto FC, which signed him in December 2015. He has scored 25 goals and registered seven assists. Last year he played all 600 postseason minutes as TFC reached its first MLS Cup final.
