NASL Rewind: North Carolina notches first win

North Carolina won its first game of the NASL season, beating last-place Edmonton, 3-1. In Week 4's only other game, Jacksonville remained undefeated and in first place after a scoreless tie with the San Francisco Deltas.

Lance Laing opened the scoring for North Carolina with a fourth-minute free kick. Nazmi Albadawi and Matt Fondy extended its lead before Tomi Ameobi scored Edmonton's first goal of the season.

NASL newcomer San Francisco, playing its first road game, remained undefeated with the 0-0 tie at Jacksonville, which has scored only twice in three games but leads the spring standings. Both of Jacksonville's wins were 1-0 victories over Edmonton.
