What They're Saying: Carli Lloyd

“The MLS, for our men, has been growing and doing well, but the Premier League is kind of in a world of its own. So there is the structure which is already in place. There are loads of things I can take back to our NWSL to help. There are certain standards and certain things that can make our league better. So I think with my experience on the pitch and off the pitch [at City], I can help women’s soccer grow as well.”

-- Carli Lloyd, saying Manchester City, whose women's program she joined in 2017, has resources and funding to treat women equally, something she says doesn't exist yet in the United States. (BBC Football)

Soccer sometime is brutal. Lloyd who is a life long Liverpool fan has to end up playing for Manchester City and eventually eliminating Liverpool in the semifinals of the FA cup.

Totally agree with Carli on this. USSF want to host another World Cup but cannot even address women players salary..
