Manchester United moved into the Europa League final against Ajax after its 1-1 tie with Celta was enough to see off the Spanish club on Thursday, but it had to survive a late challenge.

Facundo Roncaglia scored in the 85th minute to reduce United’s edge to 2-1 on aggregate, but John Guidetti missed a chance in stoppage time to give Celta a second away goal that wouldhave clinched the series.

Both teams finished with 10 players, Eric Bailly‘s red card depriving United of one of its best defenders for the final.
