Dennis Rodman's daughter helps U-16s win tourney

The U.S. U-16 girls national team won the U-16 Development Tournament in Belgium with wins over Switzerland (2-1), Belgium (1-0) and Croatia (4-0).

Tuesday’s win over Switzerland, in which South Shore Select’s Allyson Sentnor  scored and assisted, clinched the title for a U.S. team that was competing mostly against older players.

The U.S. squad, coached by Jaime Frias, was comprised of born in 2002, 2003 and 2004 while opponents fielded mainly 2001s and 2002s.

Sentnor assisted on Samantha Kroeger’s 1st-minute goal against Switzerland and also set up the opening goal by Trinity Rodman (daughter of former NBA star Dennis Rodman) in the win over Croatia. The Michigan Hawks’ Joyelle Washington scored twice against Croatia.
