U.S. Abroad: Arriola's Tijuana falls in first leg of semifinals

Paul Arriola returned to the starting lineup for top-seed Tijuana in its 2-0 loss to Tigres in the first leg of the Liga MX semifinals played Thursday in Monterrey. The second leg will be played Sunday.

Tigres won on goals by Lucas Zelarayan and Javier Aquino three minutes apart at the end of the first half.

Joe Corona, who assisted on the Xolos' winning goal in the quarterfinals, did not play. Michael Orozco (Tijuana) and Jose Torres (Tigres) did not dress.
