Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva
, a key player for Monaco during its spectacular 2016-17 season, will leave France for Manchester City. Silva, 22, has made 58 appearances for Monaco,
recording 11 goals and 12 assists. Monaco beat Manchester City in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Silva cited the chance to work with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as a
big factor in the move.
"Of course when you have the opportunity of being trained by Guardiola, you don't say no," he said. "If not the best coach in the world, he is one of the best."
