Lyon matched German club FFC Frankfurt when it won the its fourth European women's title by beating French rival Paris St. Germain, 7-6, in a penalty shootout after their UEFA Women’s Champions
League final ended 0-0.

Sarah Bouhaddi scored the decisive penalty in the eighth round after her opposite number, Pole
Katarzyna Kiedrzynek, missed from the spot.
The win completed a sweep of the French league and cup and Women’s Champions League by Lyon. It also beat PSG on penalty kicks in the French Cup final.
Alex Morgan
started but came off after 22 minutes when she re-injured her hamstring. Morgan and
Kadeisha Buchanan became the first American and Canadian, respectively, to lift the UEFA Women’s
Champions League trophy.
