UEFA president: Europe's turn in 2030 to host World Cup

Aleksander Ceferin, the UEFA president, says it will be "Europe’s turn in 2030” to host the World Cup and doesn't want FIFA to relax a ban on a country from the same confederation hosting the tournament every four or eight years. Since Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup, it could not go to Asia in 2030. Economic power China would be considered a strong bet to host the tournament in 2030 if it was allowed to bid.

    I thought it was supposed to be an Argentina-Uruguay joint bid for the 100th anniversary of the first world cup.
