Datebook: U.S. women will close year against Canada

The U.S. women's national team will face Canada in two-game home-and-away series to close out the year in November after the NWSL season ends.

The venue for the first match on Nov. 9 is set: BC Place in Vancouver. The U.S. venue three days later is still to be determined. The match in Vancouver will be the USA's first at BC Place since winning the 2015 Women's World Cup with the memorable 5-2 victory against Japan.

The USA and Canada have met 56 times but not since the final of 2016 Concacaf Olympic qualifying, where the USA won 2-0 to improve is record to 47-3-6 against the Canadians. Both teams were already through to the Rio Games.

The USA will next be in action in late July when it hosts the inaugural Tournament of Nations, facing Australia in Seattle on July 27, Brazil in San Diego on July 31 and Japan in Carson, California, on Aug. 3.
