NASL Rewind: Miami FC claims Spring crown in blowout

Second-year NASL club Miami FC won the 2017 NASL Spring Championship by blowing out San Francisco, 7-0. Brazilian Stefano Pinho scored four against the Deltas as Miami clinched with a game to spare.

Winning the Spring title gives Miami a spot in the 2017 final four regardless of how it finishes the Fall Season.

Miami's 13-game unbeaten streak ended with a 1-0 Fourth of July loss at North Carolina but it rebounded in spectacular fashion on Saturday as Pinho's goals raised his season total to eight, tying him for league leading scorer with teammate Vincenzo Rennella.

“It feels good to finally close this match,” said Miami coach Alessandro Nesta, the 2006 World Cup winner with Italy who started his coaching career last year with Miami. “It was a beautiful performance.”
