“He was talking to me about the team and about winning [MLS Cup] as both a coach and a player and how I got into coaching. And then I asked him about his daughters because they both had played[soccer]. He said how he thought [soccer] was such a good foundational sport for any sport. It was a lot more personable than I expected. I can’t say I thought this would ever happen.”
