NWSL Rewind: Press moves Red Stars into first place

Christen Press' seventh and eighth goals of the season gave the Chicago Red Stars a 2-1 win over the Orlando Pride that moved them into first place. They lead North Carolina by one point.

The Courage, which has a game in hand, had Saturday's match against FC Kansas City postponed after weather forecast calls for sustained rain and lightning around Swope Soccer Village throughout the evening.

CRAZINESS IN SEATTLE. Megan Rapinoe scored a hat trick to give the Seattle Reign a 5-4 win over Sky Blue FC in a match that tied the NWSL record for most combined goals in a match.

Her third goal broke a 4-4 tie and restored the Reign's lead after it blew a 4-0 advantage. It also gave her the NWSL scoring lead with 12 goals, one more than Sam Kerr, who scored Sky Blue FC's fourth goal.

HOUSTON MAKES A DASH.
The hottest team in the NWSL is the Houston Dash, which extended its unbeaten streak to six games -- a club record -- with a 1-0 victory over Boston.

Brazilian Andressinha found Canadian forward Nichelle Prince for her third goal of the season in the 23rd minute.
