The 2017 Gold Cup final between the USA and Jamaica drew almost 4.3 million viewers on Univision and FS1. The latter's 0.7 rating was the highest for any original cable telecast in the adults 18-49
demographic on Wednesday.
The total of 1,772,000 viewers on FS1 was up 117 percent over the 2015 Gold Cup final between Mexico and Jamaica. The game drew an average minute audience of
71,742 on FOX Sports GO, the largest audience ever on the digital platform for a soccer event.
USA-Jamaica delivered 2.5 million viewers and 1.3 million adults 18-49 on Univision, making
it the most-viewed U.S. Gold Cup match on any network since 2011.
Great ratings especially considering Mexico weren't playing.
Not too shabby. Every year, soccer hates seem to become quieter and quieter or simply they are dying from the face of the earth. LOL
Most of the games I watch are on the Spanish station. Because I love there enthusiasm about the game. When the Metrostars first started I would go to a lot of games. I had three ways to go. I drove, or I could take the command bus line here in Brooklyn to the game or I could take a car to the port authority then take the bus to the game. Most of the time I took a car to the port authority. Why, because I liked going to the game with a bus load of Latinos because it was fun. Or I would take the command bus because they parked near the race track. Then I walk to Giants stadium see the game. It ended around 10:30 pm and walked to the race track and bet the last three races and go back to Brooklyn with the old people. Then hear them talking about there big loses or wins. There loses were the most 50 to 100 bucks. My wins and loses were thousands I never told them that. But that was fun also.
