NASL Rewind: Teenager Calvillo shines for Cosmos

Defending champion New York Cosmos, who underwhelmed in the Spring Season with a third-place finish, started the Fall Season with a 3-1 win over Miami. Eric Calvillo, who joined the Cosmos after playing for the USA at the 2015 U-17 World Cup, scored twice. The Real So Real product now has four NASL goals.

Cavillo, a teammate of Christian Pulisic on the U.S. U-17s, signed with the Cosmos for the 2016 season. He scored one goal in three appearances in 2016.  Cavillo saw action in four 2017 Spring Season games, scoring in the final game of the season. Against Miami, he scored the Cosmos first two goals. He turned 29 last January.
