Turner will make fans pay for most UCL games

In case you've forgotten, this is the last season Fox Sports will carry the UEFA Champions League. Beginning next season, Turner holds the rights and has plans to launch a new OTT sports platform on which fans will have to pay to watch most of the games.

In 2016-17, Fox Sports sub-licensed UEFA rights with ESPN, allowing fans with access to the specific Fox Sports or ESPN networks to watch every Champions League game and dozens of Europa League games.

Turner will air matches on truTV as well as its national networks, TBS and TNT, but most games will air on its OTT sports platform. Bleacher Report will also serve as a portal to the OTT service and the live UEFA matches offered.

Turner's UCL telecasts:
Group stage. Four live telecasts each week -- Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET.
First two knockout rounds. Two live telecasts week -- Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 3 p.m. ET
Semifinals and final. Live telecasts on TBS or TNT.

All other matches will be available live through Turner’s new OTT sports platform.

Turner will also use its OTT sports platform to carry the Europa League with the final to be televised on TBS or TNT.

I told you so! All the increase of TV revenue To EPL and UCL will eventually come out of our pockets. NBC already started this season.

There is a huge opportunity here in the future for SUM to buy some rights packages and roll them up with MLS properties
