Jack Wilshere, fit again after fracturing his leg last season while on loan to Bournemouth, was red carded for his part in a brawl while playing for Arsenal in a U-23 match against ManchesterCity.
Wilshere responded to City midfielder Matthew Smith‘s hard tackle by grabbing him around the neck and pushing him to the ground. City’s Tyreke Wilson also saw red inthe ensuing melee.
Poor officiating led to this confrontation.
