Hex: Panama loses Penedo with injury

Panama suffered a huge blow ahead of critical World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago as Jaime Penedo, who has started all six Hexagonal matches in goal, dropped out with a quad injury.

Penedo, who won MLS Cup 2014 with the LA Galaxy, plays for Dinamo Bucharest in Romania. He was replaced by Alex Rodriguez.

Head coach Hernan Dario Gomez called up six MLS players.
